While the N900 has its lineage from previous Internet Tablet models, the addition of a cellular radio and the cohesion of the user interface makes this feel more of an entirely new device that’s bound to gain some new fans, but also disenfranchise some older ones.

Nokia redefines once again the fashion and glamor in the mobile phones arena. 8800 Arte and  Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte share the shame characteristics, but the latter has a sapphire as the D-Pad controller. This adds an extra 200$ to the Nokia 8800 Arte price.

Although the only substantiating difference is the sapphire crystal, Nokia 8800 Arte has a black casing and the Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte is “dressed” in brown. The casings are covered with manually crafted Indian goat leather.

The front of the phone has a nice glossy finish to it and the back has a matt finish. I’m not sure if the matt finish is a good or bad thing. On one hand, it stops any finger marks (because you’ll see enough of these on the screen!), but then on the other hand it sort of makes the phone look a bit cheaper

The screen is a 3.2″ touch screen with a resolution of 360×640 pixels. Matt pointed out in his unboxing video that this resolution is out of the ordinary compared to other handsets as this is wide screen. I would agree – definitely out of the ordinary. In fact, I found this screen really strange! In portrait mode it seems very narrow and takes some getting used to. It also has a very glossy finish to it. Although this looks nice, the glossy surface reflects light quite badly so makes seeing the display in bright sunlight very difficult.

Compared to any previous touch screen phones from Nokia, they have finally produced a touch screen which is capacitive rather than resistive. Definitely a positive step for them as the the screen is so much more responsive compared to the likes of the 5800. (if you are unsure of what this means, the general idea is that resistive screens need a bit of pressure to work where as capacitive ones don’t.)

have to buy the mobile which will satisfy my requirement. MY requirement is that the mobile should be fully web enabled along with the multimedia features. I found two mobile i.e Nokia N900 and HTC Touch Pro 2. I am not able to find which is best mobile among these tow mobiles.

The functioning features of both Nokia N900 and HTC Touch Pro 2 as quit same , but there are some difference which is as follows:

Storage capacity:
The internal memory HTC Touch Pro 2 is upto 16GB, while internal memory of Nokia N900 is 32 GBand it can be expandable upto 48GB.
Multimedia:
The Nokia N900 has feature which can plays Flash video. While on the other hand the HTC Touch Pro 2 doesn’t support Flash video playing.

I think you should select the Nokia N900 mobile because of it’s following features which is different from HTC Touch Pro 2:

* keypad of the Nokia N900 is very easy to handle as compare to the clunky keypad of the HTC Touch Pro 2.
* The storage strength of the Nokia N900 mobile is very large as compare to the clunky keypad of the HTC Touch Pro 2.
* The image quality of the Nokia N900 mobile is very good because of it’s 5 megapixel camera, while the HTC Touch Pro 2 comes with only 3.2 megapixel camera.

I think it’s too difficult to choose from N900 and HTC Touch Pro 2. Both HTC Touch Pro 2 and Nokia N900 comes with stylish look, many built in functionality.
There is only difference in the memory the N900 has the expandable memory of 48 Gb while Touch Pro 2 only has 16GB expandable memory. The Nokia N900 mobile is powered by Maemo 5 operating system.

2. The HTC Touch Pro 2 comprises the “Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1″ OS, while Nokia N900 comprises “Maemo 5″ OS.
3. The processor of the HTC Touch Pro 2 is of ” Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz”, while the processor of N900 is of “ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz”

I am using the Nokia N900 . I am getting awesome feature while using the N900. The image clarity of this mobile is better because of the 5MP camera. The operating spped of this mobile is good because of the “ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz” processor. The video support of thisNokia mobile is of “WVGA(848 x 480)@25fps” while iin the HTC mobile you will get “VGA” type of video. The Nokia N900 has support to the more advanced wifi connectivity than the HTC Touch Pro 2.
